Presenting a cheque to Friends of Pittville on 20th November 2016
On Sunday 20th November, the Friends of Pittville enjoyed a 5-course menu at East India Cafe, including a pigeon dish to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the discovery of spa waters in Cheltenham. Guests were also treated to a reading of a dramatic interlude entitled The Spirit of Cheltenham. Friends of Pittville are the East India Cafe’s local charity and at the end of the meal, Litu and Rina presented the Chairman of the Friends with a cheque for £175 as a donation towards their funds.
The East India Cafe is delighted to have been shortlisted in the prestigious Restaurant of the Year category at the 2017 Cotswold Life Food & Drink Awards.
The awards are an annual celebration of the region’s food and drinks industry, with the Restaurant category recognising establishments that provide exceptional service and delicious menus with locally-sourced, seasonal produce.
Nominations were made by readers of Cotswold Life magazine and the final shortlist of three was selected by a panel of judges. The winner will be announced at a glittering black-tie ceremony at Cheltenham Racecourse on Monday, July 3.
Litu Mohiuddin, Chef Patron at East India Cafe, said: “We are thrilled and excited to be on the shortlist for such an esteemed award. Thank you to Cotswold Life for this recognition and to our wonderful customers for your support.”
